What is an Implant?
The implant, which is placed into the jawbone by using in the treatment of missing teeth, is the name given to screws made of titanium. A dental prosthesis, which is very similar to the real tooth, is placed on these screws.

How is Implant Treatment Applied?

What Should Be Considered After Implant Insertion?
After having a dental implant, you should pay attention to the following elements: You should not eat or drink anything for two hours from the moment you have the implant. Very cold or very hot foods are not consumed on the first day of implant placement.
The tampon placed to stop the bleeding is removed after half an hour. Bleeding in the form of leakage can be seen on the first day. In order not to increase bleeding, you can take care not to shake and spit.
In order not to increase the swelling on the first day, you can apply cold to the area at intervals of five minutes. Medications prescribed by the doctor are used regularly.
If you are a smoker, you can take care not to smoke for a few days or to minimize smoking.
You should not forget your oral care during the healing process and after the prosthesis, and you should not delay your periodic doctor checks.
How Long Can The Implant be Used?
An implant applied in sterile conditions with careful planning, it can be used in a healthy way for many years, provided that oral care is done regularly and periodic dentist checks are not disrupted.
Smoking is one of the habits that negatively affect implant health. In addition, patients with the habit of clenching teeth are recommended to have a plaque after the application of their implant-supported prosthesis.
